James McAdoo signs extension at Hitachi Sun Rockers

James Michael McAdoo is a 2x NBA Champion and has been playing the past season in Japan for the Hitachi Shibuya Sun Rockers.

McAdoo has agreed to his player option to sign an extension to remain in Shibuya for the 2020/21 season according to SLASH Sports and Entertainment.

“I am so excited to be coming back to Shibuya for another season. I can’t wait to get back with my teammates and coaches as we continue to build from last seasons success in making it to the playoffs.”

McAdoo played his first season in the top-tier of Japanese basketball and averaged 10.92 PPG and 6.24 RPG. McAdoo has played internationally in Italy, Turkey and Serbia before heading to Asia. McAdoo reached the postseason with the Sun Rockers this year.

Ryan Kelly (former Duke player) averaged 21 PPG this season for Sun Rockers and also signed a contract extension to stay with the Japanese team. Let’s hope for another sweep of Duke this year for McAdoo to remind Kelly.
