Kenny Williams signs for Kolossos Rhodes

Kenny Williams is heading to Greece and will have a familiar face as a teammate in Rhodes. Williams has signed for Kolossos Rhodes and will play in the top-tier of Greek Basketball.

Kenny Williams may have been over your social media feeds over the past couple of weeks as he has been getting some minutes for the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA Summer League. Since graduating from UNC in 2019, Williams spent the past two seasons with the Austin Spurs in the NBA G-League after being picked up by the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Summer League 2019.

Williams did experience overseas basketball last season after signing for Bnei Herzliya in the top-tier of Israeli basketball, although his time was cut short due to an injury.

Williams will be joining Ty Lawson who recently signed at Kolossos Rhodes last month. Two National Champions from UNC will be teaming up in Europe and I’m already imagining the fast breaks from Lawson and the spot-up shooting from Williams.
